Daniel 11:44  (6th Bowl) But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.      I think the reports in Daniel 11, above, are due to the 6th Bowl in Revelation: Revelation 16:12    (6th Bowl) “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.” Who are the Kings from the east and north that alarm the Beast?   Long story short, I’ve come to believe that it’s the Kurds; please let me explain.  First, I must point out that the 10 horns in Revelation could have a duel meaning because Revelation 17 (below) says that they’re ‘10 kings who give their power and authority to the beast’.  Somehow, I think the Kurds end up with 10 leaders, perhaps from 10 provinces or districts.  Notice how the verse says that they have “not yet received a kingdom” and the Kurds are the largest ethnic group in the world without a country of their own.    Revelation 17: 12-13 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.”   Yet, Revelation 13 (below) says that the 10 horns (with seven heads) represent the beast.  Thus, I think there’s a duel meaning because some group with 10 horns give their authority to the beast but an earlier verse says that the 10 horns are the beast.   On another page, I explain how the 10 horns are likely the 10 nations of the ECO, which together with Russia surround the Caspian Sea.  (It’s nothing to be afraid of now because it happens post-rapture.) Revelation 13:1  [the 1st beast] “And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea.  And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.”   Things begin to change around the midpoint, through 2300-days of tribulation, because the beast changes from 10 horns to 2 horns.  (One of the later horns is the false prophet.)  Revelation 13:11  [a change occurs - after 42 months] “Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.”     By the 6th Bowl, I don’t think Russia will be paired with the Shiites any longer.  They may split soon after the rapture because Russia is a Christian nation, unlike the nations of the ECO.  One reason I think they eventually split is that Russia and Iran (the Shiites) form the 4th kingdom in Daniel 2 (the “iron and clay”) yet the kingdom does not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.” (Dan. 2:40-43) The Fall of Babylon by the hands of the Kurds    There’s no indication in the Bible of what the 2 horns represent but one must be the false prophet because of the timing.  After the change, God causes some other changes, most notably the 10 horns will turn against Babylon and they will attack and burn the city down.  Revelation 17: 16-17  [after the change - when the false prophet is in charge] “The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute [Babylon].  They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.  For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose.”    There are several reasons that I think this is describing the Kurds.  1. As I mentioned earlier, the preceding verses in Revelation 17 describe them as 10 kings who have “not yet received a kingdom” and the Kurds are without a country.  2. Turkey has called their latest incursion into northern Syria “Operation Euphrates Shield” and they are determined to defend the west side of the Euphrates from the Kurds.  3. The Euphrates River extends far to the north of the Syrian border and the Kurds occupy everything to the east of it.  4. If you consider all the Kurds together (split between 4 countries), they occupy an area larger than Syria and could become very powerful, especially in the 6+ years after the rapture.  (see map left)   One thing that Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey have in common is that none of them want the Kurds to have their own country, probably for that reason.  I can see why Turkey got nervous and acted the way they did, to stop them from spreading across northern Syria, because it appears as though they were trying to out flank them.  One reason that Iran and Turkey became closer, after the attempted coup (Daniel 11:26), is their common contempt for the Kurds.  It’s no wonder that Turkey wants them back across the Euphrates, to the east, because the river serves as a natural barrier in case of war.    When the 6th Bowl dries up the Euphrates, naturally starting at the top, it will remove that natural barrier, making way for the armies from the east and north (Kurds), which will alarm the beast who will set out in rage to destroy and annihilate many. (Dan 11:44)  Note: By that time, Iran and Turkey will be allies (already happened) but the Kurds will still manage to burn Babylon (Rev 17:17), whatever it may represent.  Of course, that doesn’t mean they will defeat the beast by themselves because Jesus does that at Armageddon. (7th Bowl -next verse)  Yet, I think the Kurds get the ball rolling, in the 6th Bowl, when the Euphrates dries.  Update: 1-26-2017    I recently discovered that the Kurd’s latest offensive (map left from link) on the east side of the Euphrates (into Raqqa) is called “Wrath of Euphrates”, as opposed to Turkey’s “Euphrates Shield.”   Thus, even the names are aligning perfectly with prophecy. Babylon    I have 2 possibilities for Babylon: 1. We know from Rev 18 that the ‘kingdom of the beast’ rebuilds Babylon with “cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, fine linen, silk and scarlet cloth, costly wood, ivory, bronze, iron, and marble.” (Revelation 18:12)  I generally take scripture to be literal, unless obvious otherwise, so I tend to think Babylon represents the original ancient city, south of Baghdad, which many locals think has magically powers 2. Yet, given current events, it could also represent East Aleppo (if they try to re-build something there, after the rapture).  That’s because Aleppo represents the main turning-point right now and it’s located on the west side of the Euphrates, just south of Turkish territory.  Of course, the Kurds are currently arch enemies of the Turks.  However, it’s hard to predict something that far in advance because the situation could change very quickly.    Whatever the case, all the progress that is made in rebuilding Babylon is destroyed in one swift hour.  Note: You can tell from this account, detailing the burning, that the city was built in a hurry, after the rapture, because merchants and sailors got rich from bringing a lot of cargo.  After all, a lot can be built, these days, in about 6 years, when no expense is spared. Revelation 18: 10b-11; 17-18 “Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power!  In one hour your doom has come!” 11 “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more - cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; … 17 In one hour, such great wealth has been brought to ruin!' "Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off. 18 When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, 'Was there ever a city like this great city?'       The news from Babylon will enrage the false prophet and he will utilize his strongest magic yet to summon the ‘kings of the world’ for a huge battle.  Revelation 16: 13-14 “Three evil spirits that look like frogs will come out of the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.  “They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs and they go out to the kings of the whole world to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.”      Of course, they are preparing for “Armageddon” but they are no match for God’s power. sitemap home

(Ezek 38 & Rev 20) ‘Bowl Plagues to Armageddon’ (God’s final wrath)    The Bowls take place 1290 to 2300-days after the abomination and rapture, which is about midway to the end of tribulation. That’s because the 1st Bowl (below) cannot start until after the “mark of the beast” and that does not happen until the False Prophet appears, 42-months after the 1st beast. [previous page]  To set the stage, after the 144,000 Jews are slaughtered on earth (Rev. 14) for not taking the ‘mark of the beast’, they appear in heaven (Rev. 15).  After that, God reveals His final seven plagues, which will complete His wrath on earth.  The Bowls (Revelation 16) 1. The first bowl causes ugly and painful sores on everyone with the “mark of the beast” 2. The second bowl turns the sea to blood so everything in the sea dies.  3. The third bowl turns the rivers and springs to blood so there is nothing to drink but blood.  4. The fourth bowl turns the sun scorching hot so people are seared by intense heat.  5. the fifth bowl causes complete darkness in the “kingdom of the beast”.   “Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores.”  (Rev. 16: 2-11)      I think Daniel 11:44 (below) skips to the 6th Bowl because there’s not much happening during the others, except for pain and agony.  In other words, the 6th Bowl starts the real downfall of the beast.  The 6th Bowl will start approximately 6 years after the rapture.  Notice: They are judged by “what they had done”. That’s because only in the current 2000-year period can a person be saved by the “blood of the Lamb”.  Related page: Why didn’t God kill Satan in the beginning?

Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.       With Babylon burned, the false prophet makes a temporary headquarters in Jerusalem (royal ‘tents’/ beautiful holy mountain).  However, that’s where he comes to his ‘end’ and ‘no one helps him’ because how could they?  (Revelation gives two different accounts.) Revelation 16: 17-21   (Armageddon - ‘earthly perspective’) The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!"  18 Then, there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake.  19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.  20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.  21 From the sky, huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men.  And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.          Revelation 19: 11-15; 19-21  (Armageddon - ‘heavenly perspective’) 11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.  With justice he judges and makes war.  12  His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.  He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.  13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.  15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." ... 19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army.  (20) But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet. ...  The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur 21 The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. Revelation 20: 1-2 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.  2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. After Armageddon:       While Satan is locked away, Jesus will reign ‘on earth’ for a thousand years. (see left) Apparently, some people survive and continue the generations because when the 1000-years are over, Satan is released one last time.  He gathers the nations from the four corners of the earth and gathers them for battle.  They march across the breadth of the earth and surround the camp of God’s people but the outcome is different than before. Revelation 20: 9-10 But fire came down from Heaven and devoured them.  And the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.  They will be tormented day and night, forever and ever.”     Then, the dead throughout history will be judged before the “Great White Throne” Revelation 20: 12, 15 ... “Another book was opened, which is the book of life.  The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.  15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”       After that, God will create ‘a new heaven’ and ‘a new earth’ because the first earth had passed away and their was no longer any sea.  A magnificent ‘new Jerusalem’ will come down from heaven to be the Holy City and God will finally dwell with humans.  Revelation 21: 1-4 “Now, the dwelling of God is with men and He will live with them.”   “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."   Praise God.
